Credit
Union History
JetStream Federal CREDIT UNION is a
not-for-profit, cooperative financial institution, serving
its members since 1947 with a wide range of services
to meet all their financial needs.
Since its inception the Credit Union
has had outstanding leadership from the following dedicated
Managers:
1947 - 1960 Miami
FAA Credit Union was managed by Mr. Jack Wilkie, services
offered were Share accounts and Personal Loans;
1960 - 1977 the
Credit Union was managed by Ms. Betty Wilkie, new services
included Notary Services and payroll deduction. The office
was relocated to the NWS Building;
1977- 1983 the
Credit Union was managed by Mr. C. Arthur Kelley; the Credit
Union became a Federal Credit Union and began offering
Share Drafts, C.D.'s and Ira's;
1983 - 1992 under
the guidance of Mr. David Lesko the name of the Credit
Union was changed to Florida FAA Federal Credit Union and
the administrative office moved to the 36th Street (Airport
Office) location; products introduced included Mortgages,
Regular MasterCard and Telephone Account Response System;
1993 - July 1998
Mr. James Wagy became CEO in 1993 and instituted new and
innovative programs such as Gold MasterCard, ATM's, the
Auto Advisor program and Junior Aviator accounts; additionally,
FAA Credit Union opened its Puerto Rico Branch and relocated
the administrative office to Miami Lakes along with a retail
branch. The Credit Union changed it's name to FAA Credit
Union.
August 1998 -
present under the direction of Mr. William Gregg, the Credit
Union has relocated its "Airport Office" to a
new full-service branch at 8181 NW 14th Street, including
a full-service ATM, and has completed a major upgrade of
its main computer system. Internet services have been expanded
to include home banking with bill payment. |
